When we arrived there was a sickening odor throughout our room. We woke up to ants crawling in the bed. Turns out the smell was from the toxic chemical, hot shot, used to control their bug problem. Even though the room had been soaked in the spray, the ants persisted both in the bed and on the counter tops. Most disturbing was a truckload of men in the parking lot who were there when we arrived at 8 pm, and who were still there when we checked out prematurely at 10 am. By then they were extremely inebriated, dancing shirtless and blasting explicit music. We also witnessed them peeing in the parking lot. The worst of it was when we asked about this at the front desk. The gentleman working there was extremely dismissive when we (as two women) expressed that we felt unsafe. His main response was to simply ask if the men had directly approached us. Our feeling was that it could turn into a dangerous situation. Do we, or other travelers, have to be physically hurt before action is taken by the hotel? We asked if he felt that this was acceptable behavior and were again dismissed. I strongly recommend that you think twice about staying here.

I'm from a town five minutes away and I visit fairly often to see family. I would not have expected a bargain in Nanuet. Pet Friendly. Cleaner than I would have thought. Comfortable bed. Downside? Fridge looked like it had been roughed up with a ball peen hammer. Light fixture in bathroom was rusted out. But that was about it. Place cost about $100. Hard to argue with that in Nanuet. I'd definitely go back.

This is our second stay here in two months as we had to return the second time for a family funeral, unfortunately. But we thought of the Sonesta right away because we were so comfortable here the first time. We checked reviews at every hotel in the area and this was the only one that had good/great reviews. They have everything you need here, even if you want to do a little cooking. We were able to prepare breakfast. They have a small stove, all utensils. Ricky at the front desk was especially helpful to me! When I returned home, I realized I had lost an earring and asked if he could check for me. It was my favorite pair of earrings and I was sure it was gone forever. After the current patron checked out, he kindly went to search the room and found my earring! He mailed it out to me right away and it arrived safely and in perfect condition. THANK YOU SO MUCH RICKY! Don't hesitate to stay here. I recommend highly!

This is a great place to stay! From the moment we registered with Ricky, (who was fabulous) to the excellent very clean room, we enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is fully stocked and it has a nice room size fridge. There was dish soap and scrubbiest in the kitchen cabinet, bathroom toiletries, iron and hairdryer.Located near a Target, the mall, and grocery.

This hotel allows dogs which is a big plus. The staff and people you meet here are friendly. It’s a great hotel if you stay as a long stay, which is more then a week. Your room is throughly cleaned every week.
